Abstract
In this paper, a novel finite element technique is presented, which can substantially reduce the computational effort required for the analysis of waveguide structures. Demonstrative examples, whose finite element solutions are obtained by combining this technique with two well-known formulations-Ez - Hz and H-field-are given. © 1993 IEEE
