Abstract
In Peru, it is difficult to do higher studies in a public university for that reason, many parents decide their children study in high school, and then in a pre-university center; which results in increased anxiety test levels. The present research aims to diagnose the anxiety levels in adolescent of high school and pre-university centers of Lima-Peru. The participants were 72 pre-university students (40 men (55.6%) and 32 women (44.4%) between 14 and 16 years old (M_age = 15.91, SD =.35). One concludes, according to the diagnostic scales scores, men reflect a level of cognitive incapacity before exams classified as 'extremely high anxiety' (Mean= 4.04) and women 'high anxiety test' (Mean = 3.86). Then, regarding the level of worry before exams the men (Mean= 4.41) and women (Mean = 4.52) were classified as 'extremely high anxiety'; being harmful results for their learning.
