Abstract
The superluminal nature of evanescent waves' group velocity was investigated. The propagation of signal in the evanescent modes and arrival time of the transients was studied using the computer simulations based on Maxwell equations. The results showed the existence of both phenomena and the actual possibility of the occurrence of superluminal group velocities.
