Abstract
Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the benefits and harms of continuing chronic anticoagulation with either warfarin or a direct oral anticoagulant in the perioperative period of CIED surgeries versus discontinuing anticoagulation with or without heparin bridging during an equivalent timeframe for CIED surgeries.
