Abstract
In Peru, there is still no undergraduate program in aerospace engineering, even though the Peruvian Space Agency (CONIDA for its acronym in Spanish) is >40 years old and currently has an orbiting Earth observation satellite. However, there are universities that, as part of their students' training, touch some topics related to aerospace technology. In this article, we present an analysis of the Peruvian situation about the training of new professionals with aerospace technology knowledge. Also, we analyze how the lack of an aerospace engineering program has been covered in relative terms for having engineers occupying positions created for professionals with aerospace knowledge. The results show that there are alternatives in which Peruvian professionals can acquire aerospace knowledge through related masters programs, courses, training, and seminars.
