Abstract
The research paper has been carried out the air conditioning of a prototype "experimental dome", in cold and freezing zones for high altitude in order to house tourists with thermal comfort and/or care of victims of natural disasters. It is based on solar energy by thermal accumulation (TES) with phase change materials (PCM), using air as transport vehicle. The experimental dome of base 50 m2 was installed in the city of Urubamba-Cusco, in which all the components of the heating system were designed, which allowed to analyze the thermal insulation behavior and the materials and equipment used. The results of the piloting were obtained during three months of friaje: May, June and July 2015, whose research is applied semi-empirical and explanatory correlational type, for which the balance of thermal loads was performed, determining mathematical models, using multiple linear regression, and rotational factorial design 23, which allowed determining the optimal values of temperature (Ti) and relative humidity (HRi) inside the dome, as a function of the dynamic variation over time of the environmental and design parameters. For this project, its economic technical viability was evaluated, which allowed to determine its profitability by applying the Payback method, whose capital recovery was three and a half years, as well as evaluating the energy saving and the reduction of the environmental impact.
