Abstract
The fabrication of an organic light emitting diode (OLED) based on aluminium calixarene supramolecular complex was reported. The main advantages were increased lifetime probably provided by the characteristic high chemical stability of calixarene complex, and the controlled shifts of the emitted light. A blue light emission was obtained by applying a dc voltage between the device electrodes in forward bias condition. It was suggested that the electroluminescent emission peak tuned between 470 and 510 nm changed the applied voltage bias from 4.3 to 5.4 V.
