Abstract
The Theophrastaceae are represented in Peru by two genera and 17 species (Brako & Zarucchi, 1993; Ulloa Ulloa et al., 2004), between trees and shrubs. Here we recognize five endemic species in the genus Clavija. These endemic species are found in Very Humid Premontane Forests, Very Humid Montane Forests, Humid Lowland Amazonian Forests and Dry Forests regions, between 200 and 1850 m elevation. One endemic species has been recorded Peru's protected areas system.
