Abstract
University education requires constant evaluation of teaching performance to guarantee innovation and improvement of the quality of the educational service. Specifically in Peru, these processes are monitored by the National System of Evaluation and Accreditation of Educational Quality (SINEACE) and by the National Superintendency of Higher University Education (SUNEDU). In addition, according to these entities, the University of Sciences and Humanities proposes to evaluate the performance of teachers of a professional program of primary education at a private university in Lima-Peru. For this, a survey developed by 127 students was applied evaluating 29 teachers (16 women (55.2%) and 13 men (44.8%)). Finally, it was concluded that teachers present an optimal performance when teaching and in pedagogical management, but significant deficiencies in research and intellectual production.
