Abstract
The aim of this research was to construct and determine the psychometric properties of the Attribution to Homophobia Scale (EAH) in LGBT users of a non-governmental organization in Lima, 2018. The study design was psychometric-instrumental. The sample was made up of 1000 LGBT users, aged 18 and over. The results showed good reliability with an alpha of 0.986 and evidence of content and construct validity. The factorial structure shows three factors that explain 68.865% of the total variance, in accordance with the initial structure. Thus, the scale was structured in 3 factors; a) factor 1: Attribution to Cognitive Homophobia (21 items), b) factor 2: Attribution to Affective Homophobia (11 items) and c) factor 3: Attribution to Behavioral Homophobia (12 items), as well as no significant differences were found by sexual orientation/gender identity and age. Standardization norms were obtained for the application and scoring of the test. The evidence found shows that the test is useful for practical application as a tool in clinical, forensic and social evaluation. It is concluded that the EAH scale presents adequate psychometric properties.
