Abstract
Ultrashort shaped pulses are becoming available and their use for biomedical imaging will permit signal enhancements, allow selective excitation, and reduced photobleaching. These pulses are also enabling new imaging modalities which provide greater chemical information. ©2009 Optical Society of America.
