Abstract
The genus Opisthodorylaimus Ahmad & Jairajpuri, 1982 is emended on the basis of five additional species. Two of these are species formerly included in the genus Thornenema Andrássy, 1959, but here transferred to Opisthodorylaimus as O. cavalcantii (Lordello, 1955) n. comb. and O. sylphoides (Williams, 1959) n. comb. The three other species are new ones: O. paracavalcantii n. sp. characterized by a didelphic reproductive system and presence of males; O. baqrii n. sp. characterized by a large anterior uterine sac; O. filicaudatus n. sp. characterized by its short body, head and amphid shape and long tail. © 1985 BRILL.
