Abstract
The museum sector, like many sectors that provide a public service, has undergone important changes in recent years, denoting a strong drive towards the adoption of management processes aimed at generating greater effectiveness, efficiency, economic and administrative balance. The present study establishes the objective of determining the level of management by processes in public museums in Lima. The population was made up of 265 collaborators from the Lima museums. The data was contrasted by logistic regression analysis. The approach was quantitative, explanatory, non-experimental, field and transectional design under the hypothetical deductive methodology. The results revealed the existence of a high predominance of the Planning of the management processes with respect to the efficient fulfillment of the activities carried out in the public museums of Lima. The study concludes that the predominant indicators that weaken management by processes are: the absence in the definition of activities, the non-compliance in the execution of the programmed activities, the monitoring of activities and the lack of analysis of the museum’s problems.
