Abstract
The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) is a resilience measure used worldwide, still there are no validity evidence in Peru. The aim of this paper was to analyze the psychometric properties of the CD-RISC in Peruvian college students (n = 746; 74.5% females; Mage = 19.99 years old). The internal structure was analyzed with confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory structural equation modeling (ESEM). Its relationship with academic self-efficacy and emotional exhaustion measures was also analyzed, and the reliability was estimated. Results show that the brief and unidimensional 7-items model (CD-RISC-7) has more support based on its fit indices, factor loadings, achieving tau-equivalence, and misspecifications absence. In the same way, the CD-RISC-7 has positive and negative relationship with self-efficacy and emotional exhaustion, respectively. Finally, the reliability indices are meritorious. We conclude that the CD-RISC-7 has appropriate psychometric properties.
