This paper describes the importance of Information Technology in improving business; due to technological changes and the strong impact of technology on all areas of business it is necessary to clearly distinguish the importance of the IT architecture domain, and its architecture types within enterprise architecture. Today business managers need fast and reliable access to information for decision-making which involves the integration of all business units within the company in order to achieve these objectives; it is very important to consider the role of enterprise architecture as a key element in achieving good business management.
