Abstract
The present work shows a characterization of three DC converter topologies, Buck, Boost and the mixed solution Buck-Boost, in order to choose an optimal solution that meets the requirements of an Energy Power System (EPS) implemented for a Cubesat. We used LTSpice parametric simulations and perfomance comparisons in terms of efficiency, Pout, Pin, Vout, Iout and coil current. It is verified that for R parametric simulations, the efficiency of Buck and Boost converters increases, meanwhile for C and L parametric simulations the efficiency decreases. In case of Buck-Boost topology, R parametric simulation causes the worst response in terms of efficiency and IL.
