Abstract
Educational robotics in Peru is still widely taught. Currently, educational robotics in Peru does not comply with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Education due to the lack of specialist teachers in the area, lack of training, guides, and adequate tools for the development of this type of content, also in the province of Ilo, all national schools have the Lego NXT robotic module. Therefore, it is intended to demonstrate that educational robotics reinforces the learning of physical sciences through the development of technological understanding capacities in students between 7 and 17 years old. Therefore, 6 criteria were proposed, evaluated through 12 items to demonstrate the validity of the proposed methodology to develop skills to understand mathematics. The applied method is hypothetical-deductive, a qualitative and quantitative mixed cut approach with experimental design, the type of study is applied and the design is quasi-experimental with the longitudinal cut. The population and the sample are 100 students from the Academy of Robotics Technology and Ideas. The research approach is of a mixed qualitative and quantitative cut, experimental design, type of quasi-experimental research. The use of educational robotics has been shown to be a complement to a good understanding of MRU concepts based on Lego Mindstorms EV3. The learning outcomes reached a level of 80% in positive results.
