Abstract
Geomagnetic mapping and electrical imaging are applied to investigate the soil structures in the vicinity of the geoglyphs in the Nasca desert (Peru) in comparison with areas of undisturbed soil in order to derive conclusions for a conservation of the lines. Both magnetic and geoelectrical method show significant anomalies caused by the lines but also structures of up to now unknown origin in the subsurface.
