Abstract
Power systems have considered modern protection and control devices, due to improvement in failure impact in the grid, as stability and electronic coordination studies, however, the failures in a dynamic condition should contribute in the improvement of this response, and identify the weak points associated to overhead lines in Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU). In this research, a new proposal has been created with a mathematical model and stability algorithm to identify problems associated to stability and coordination protection time with a new analysis for PMU settings in a Peruvian case study.
