Abstract
Latin American universities present change in the University Social Responsibility (RSU, for Spanish acronym) stands out, considered as a public good capable of fostering social change commitments, through the training processes which had been implemented. In that sense, this study investigates the perceptual assessments that students have about the characteristics of the RSU in a public university in southern Peru. Following a quantitative approach, information was collected from 326 students from different academic areas, through the Evaluation Questionnaire. The results showed the high reliability of the instrument. Additionally, the favorable perception of the characteristics of the RSU implemented in the university was recognized, which resulted in a high commitment to social change in the direction proposed by (Retolaza, 2010). In the same way, they found that these results do not show differences in the favorable perception to the characteristics of the RSU, we conclude that these aspects are irrelevant in the assessment made by the students.
