This literature review article conducts a documentary analysis of the civic attitudes of high school students in Peru and in Spanish-speaking countries, under a qualitative approach, using a non-interactive comparative descriptive methodology, making it possible to achieve the proposed objective: to analyze the civic attitudes of Peruvian high school and Spanishspeaking students according to the categories of democracy, citizenship and learning at school. Refereed academic sources were used such as that of recognized international indexed journals such as Scopus/Wos, other specialized ones such as Ebsco, Proquest, Redalyc, Scielo and other reports that are in force to obtain information, find findings, reach conclusions and recommendations of civic attitudes in relation to the categories reviewed with the purpose of understanding the civic system in which students are immersed, to know the reality of the different contexts, to understand what deficiencies or difficulties exist to make possible an education that allows building a more democratic society, with citizens who face the challenges of coexisting in the diverse scenarios of the Spanish-speaking countries and in the globalized world.

El presente artículo de revisión bibliográfica realiza un análisis documental de las actitudes cívicas de los estudiantes de secundaria del Perú y de habla hispana, bajo un enfoque cualitativo, mediante una metodología descriptiva comparativa no interactiva, permitiendo alcanzar el objetivo propuesto: analizar las actitudes cívicas de los estudiantes peruanos de secundaria y de habla hispana según las categorías de democracia, ciudadanía y aprendizaje en la escuela. Se utilizaron fuentes académicas arbitradas de reconocidas revistas internacionales indexadas en como Scopus y Web of Science (Wos), otras especializadas en Ebsco, Proquest, Redalyc, Scielo y otros reportes vigentes para obtener información, encontrar hallazgos, llegar a conclusiones y recomendaciones de las actitudes cívicas en relación con las categorías revisadas con la finalidad de comprender el sistema cívico en el que están inmersos los estudiantes, conocer la realidad de los diferentes contextos, comprender qué carencias o dificultades existen para hacer posible una educación que permita construir una sociedad más democrática, con ciudadanos que enfrenten los retos de convivir en los diversos escenarios de los países de habla hispana y en el mundo globalizado.
