Abstract
The study's objective is to assess the information strategy in health websites of 6 Latin American countries, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this, we did an adaptation of the instrument proposed by Tejedor et al. (2020), considering the following variables: usability, interactivity, information offered, and social networks; which was complemented with data obtained about the situation of each country related with COVID-19. The adaptation of this instrument is the main contribution of the study. In addition, after discussing the obtained results, it is highlighted that there is no consensus on the information strategy that a national health website should have, so improvement recommendations are made according to the opportunities identified in response to the infodemic. Finally, the conclusions of the study are highlighted, some limitations are recognized, and interesting future work opportunities are proposed.
