Abstract
This chapter introduces our Life-Work Continuum model that addresses the shortcomings of Work-Life Balance approaches to organizational culture (OC). This model embraces the wellbeing of working people in human centered (HC) organizations. We examine obstacles presented by the “work-life” dichotomy that emphasized conflictual interactions between “roles” obstructing personal, family, and work lives. Challenges exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic are affecting people’s lives and work in this new reality. The LWC is built on the continuous development of people by optimizing their health and wellbeing leading to work engagement as the foundation of a HC OC.
