The setting up of the new qualification regulations by the National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) for the inclusion of new researchers and the renewal of those currently classified in the National Register of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (RENACYT) in Peru, it has powerfully attracted the attention of all the researchers scattered in different universities of the country, as well as the editors of journals that are just starting and those that are in the process of indexing databases such as: Doaj, Latindex, Dialnet, Redalyc and Scielo. The objective of the research is to analyze the benefit of publishing in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS); likewise, to know what is the immediate destination of the journals with databases excluded from the New Regulation of qualification of the CONCYTEC. The study is coded within the parameters of the fundamental theoretical-essay. In general terms, the regulation that has already entered into force, presupposes many successes and failures for research in Peru under the nomenclature of a global projection that requires adjusting to the necessary changes in quality.
