Abstract
In this article a photovoltaic system with active power filtering functions is proposed in order to mitigate the current harmonics generated by a nonlinear load, connected to the point of common coupling. The modeling and control of the photovoltaic system is developed. It is used the synchronous rotating frame to control the current injected into the electrical grid. Also, the power factor of grid current is analyzed to verify the effect of compensating current generated by the photovoltaic inverter. The simulations were performed using the Matlab/Simulink software considering two PV systems: PV system with filtering functions and the conventional PV system, it is used a rectifier with RL load of considerable apparent power, and with these results each system performance is analyzed.
