Abstract
There are very few studies that combine efforts to explain the origin by which poverty in Peru remains latent, despite the fact that economic growth in recent years has been favorable in reducing the incidence of poverty. The reality is apparently different, as there are large inequality gaps between rural and urban areas. Many villages are underdeveloped and illiteracy predominates. The lack of solvency and ways that allow families to achieve a decent livelihood is scarce, social chaos that is manifested in the increase in the percentage of robberies, assaults, violence, crime, corruption and vices such as alcoholism or drug addiction in which many Peruvians are submerged. Supported by the quantitative method, a non-experimental, descriptive investigation is developed by applying techniques such as the survey. Concluding on the level of perception of poverty that the inhabitants have, it is between the ranges 41 - 60% given by the lack of culture, in addition to that there is an indirect relationship between poverty and education since the latter allows the social being to have a better vision of the life and strive to improve your present.
