Abstract
As key elements of contemporary society, organizations, before the 20th century, have gone through different realities, developing and consolidating management models according to the needs of the current contexts and necessary for efficient management of available resources. Under these scenarios, alternative or emerging models are justified, which emerge as visions contrary to traditional models. Thus, the objective of this research is focused on characterizing the distinctive features of an emerging management model, taking decision-making, organizational structure and organizational control as central elements. Supported by the documentary bibliographic review and critical analysis of documents, alternative models that have been developing in the local economies of the Latin American region are needed as important findings, concluding that, assuming visions contrary to traditional logic, disrupts essential elements of administrative praxis. New ways of thinking when making decisions, and of organizing resources in the structures, as well as new control mechanisms, emerge and become more refined as the years go by, so that a day comes when emerging visions manage to exceed the traditional logics attached to management models that once responded to the demands of contexts.
