Abstract
Bedforms-ATM (Bed forms analysis toolkit for multiscale modeling) is a software designed to hierarchize and quantify the dimensionality of natural bed forms fields. It comprises four modular applications, namely: (1) wavelet analysis, (2) Hovmöller analysis, (3) multiscale discrimination, and (4) three-dimensionality analysis. Bedforms-ATM also provides insights on bed form systems dynamics and their interrelationship with the surrounding hydrodynamic characteristics. The software structure encourages its expandability via the collaboration from the community of users. Both fluvial and synthetic bed form data accompany Bedforms-ATM.

We are very grateful to the School of Civil Engineeringfrom the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú which allowed this study to be initiated. We acknowledge the Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst (KAAD-PUCP 2015-II) which funded a short staying of Dr. Gutierrez at the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany) to complete this study. We greatly appreciate the permission from: (1) both Dr. Gilbert Compo and Dr. Christopher Torrence to use the wavelet code they developed, and (2) both Dr. Daniel Parsons and Dr. Jim Best to include Paraná River's bed form data as accompanying information of Bedforms-ATM. Bedforms-ATM was developed as part of Research Line 4 from GERDIS-PUCP.
