Abstract
Mixed approach study (Quantitative and Qualitative), correlational. It was applied to 43 farmers, semi-structured surveys, focus groups, DRP drawing and field visits. Statistical data were processed: SPSS PASW Statistics Software18. Results: Media Luna, 42.4% use fertilizers; Jona Jona use insecticides 45.8%. The active ingredients, according to the agrochemical containers found in farms were: Media Luna; Linoleic acid 25% and glyphosate 23.9%; Jona Jona; carbofuran 34.7% and glyphosate 13.9%. The frequency of use is weekly for both areas. Regarding the final disposal of containers, 40.9% and 48.8% respectively are burned in the field. According to the degree of toxicity, Media Luna used, category III 63%, category IV 23% and category II 12%; Jona Jona category III 34.7%, category II 31.9% and category I b with 23.6%. The economic investment per agricultural season in agrochemicals is $ 280 to $ 704 dollars in Media Luna, 45.5%; Jona Jona 56.9% invest less than $ 280 dollars.
