Objective: To analyse the internal validity of COPEAU-brief version in psychology college students from Lima. Method: The sample included 631 students (61.5% women) between 16 and 49 years-old (Mean = 20.37; SD = 3.155). Was implemented A confirmatory factor analysis was performed, together with a method for assessing the equivalence between the long and brief version of COPEAU. The reliability was analysed using coefficient alpha and omega. Results: The original four-factor structure was replicated in the brief version, and the correlation between versions support the equivalence. Additionally, the reliability coefficients of COPEAU were also adequate. Conclusion: The psychometric properties of COPEAU-B was satisfactory. The limitations of the study are discussed.
