Abstract
The essential oils of two samples of Satureja boliviana (Benth.) Briq. collected in Peru and Bolivia, were obtained by hydrodistillation, and analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. The major constituents of the Peruvian oil were isomenthone (29.0%), pulegone (12.6%) and menthone (12.6%). Main constituents of the Bolivian oil were isomenthone (27.0%), pulegone (20.0%) and thymol (14.7%). © 1996, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
