The psychometric properties of the Dependency and Achievement Psychological Control scale adapted for Peru (DAPCS-S) were studied in a sample of adolescents. The DAPCS-S was applied to a sample of 292 late adolescents from two private universities. The internal structure of the scale was studied by several exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Results showed that it was possible to reproduce the bifactorial structure (Dependency and achievement psychological control) of the DAPCS proposed by the authors (Soenens et al., 2010). Results regarding the convergent and discriminant validity of the scale were as expected. Reliability of the both psychological control scale were also satisfactory.
