Abstract
Demand and travel rates generated by public hospitals in the city of Metropolitan Lima are studied. It allows an improvement in the feasibility of hospital projects, urban planning and transport. Four hospitals were used throughout the city and their information is evaluated as independent variables. The linear or logarithmic regression equation is determined, the trend curves are plotted and the independent variables that most influence these hospitals are known after knowing the coefficient of determination (R2) and performing the null hypothesis test, which demonstrates statistically if the correlation is acceptable with a confidence level of 95%. The guidelines of the Trip Generation Manual of the ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineers) were used as reference. It is verified that there is variation in local results between 78 and 84% than those of the ITE, underestimating trips.
