Abstract
Fundamental antenna parameters of a dielectric resonator nanoantenna (DRNA) fed by metallic coplanar waveguide (MCPW) were theoretically and numerically carried out. The design took into account resonance at 1.55 μm; which is the central frequency of conventional optical communication spectrum. This type of antenna operating at infrared is a very interesting way for coupling free space optical fields to plasmonic circuits. The proposal shows how to excite MCPW by means of an external optical fields, and vice-versa, by using the paradigm of nanoantennas.
