Abstract
In recent years, the supply and demand of graduate studies in Information Technologies (ICT) has increased. The students mostly complete the studies; however, they do not finish the thesis an indispensable requirement for obtaining the degree. A factor that helps a student to successfully complete the thesis is the supervisor performance in the thesis development process. Thesis development is an informative, methodological, technological and communicative process in which supervisor and student participate. The purpose of this article is to show the relationship that exists between the supervisor performance and thesis development on Information Technologies, according to the student's perception. The results of a survey directed to 66 students on the supervisor show that there is a positive correlation between the supervisor performance and thesis development. Also, cognitive skills, personal conditions and role of supervisor are correlates positively with thesis Development.
