Abstract
The objective of this research is to automate the graphical representation of Finite Set Algebra, in order to provide: an alternative as a learning tool or a means to teach the association of mathematical concepts with the programming language, determine the construction rules and the Command programming in the subject of Basic Education Mathematics. This document describes a new Mathematica package, DiscreteSets.m programmed in PiWolfram. Since the Mathematica license is expensive, a Raspberry Pi computer is used since, thanks to its low cost and a free version of Mathematica that runs on it, it makes the new Mathematica package accessible to a greater number of users. To show the performance of the new package, a full set of illustrative examples is provided. This package admits as input a certain operation between two or three discrete and finite sets, whose elements can be numbers, letters or certain figures. And it returns as output the Venn diagram corresponding to the given operation, with the location of the elements of the sets similar to how they would be located manually. Allowing students to interactively learn and dabble in the PiWolfram programming language. Programming has been the cause of the great advances in technology. For this reason, it is important to incorporate technological education into the learning of Mathematics so that students appreciate the real importance of mathematics today. Through mathematics we can understand the world around us. It is present in various human activities: daily life, social and cultural aspects, in such a way that it is an essential key to understanding and transforming culture. Having a mathematical development allows us to participate in the world in any of the aforementioned aspects.
