Abstract
This document presents the results of a study on the effects and use of a mobile application for the basic education of the Huitoto language, carried out with the participation of pre-school students in urban educational institutions of the Punchana district in Iquitos, Peru. The mobile application is called URUE, that means 'Child' in the Huitoto language. This is a second study involving this mobile application. The first one was carried out in 2018, with the participation of Huitoto children from 'Centro Arenal' indigenous community, made up of native populations of the Huitoto people. In addition to the teaching of the Huitoto language, knowledge of cultural elements of this community was also covered. The results were favorable at developing the lessons using the mobile application, and these results were compared with a traditional method. At the same time, some advantages of the use of the application have been identified regarding the limitations of the educational service in urban educational institutions.
