The education system in general in Peru is changing, aligned with the Ministry Education's policies. In this context, this paper proposes aspects to improve the teaching of engineering, aims to develop competencies in students aligned with the policies of strategic sectors, through mechanisms that support the update of the study plan. These aspects will be developed jointly with the existing teaching through: Teaching current issues, company-university chairs and continuing education programs.
