Abstract
A striking multistate resonance phenomenon was observed via the ionization of hydrogen atoms with principal quantum number n0≥. With increasing Fw, the resonances were found to shift and broaden. However at certain ratios of Fw/Fs, the resonances disappeared. These observations were explained using a theory that exploits a separation of time scales.
