Abstract
This work describes a method and a brief experiment capable of detecting cervical cancer using Electrical Bioimpedance Spectroscopy and defining fine the clinical symptoms associated with cancer and the benefits of using this technique. It is a proposal for making a biomedical instrument that can be used as an initial test before the Pap smear test, in screening for cervical cancer, allowing a preliminary assessment, more efficient and that can be used in distant locations. The cost of diagnosis would be lower than the current costs once it is necessary only the availability of the instrument without prerequisite or knowledge. The user needs only to interpret the results showed in the graphics. This work is developing in a partnership including researchers from the University of Santander - UIS (Colombia), University of Mogi das Cruzes - UMC and Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (Brazil).
