Abstract
The monotypic subfamily Oxytorinae is recorded for the first time from South America. Oxytorus peruvianus sp. n. from a Peruvian premontane rain forest is described and illustrated. Information on the habitat and phenology of the new species is reported. © 2011 Versita Warsaw and Springer-Verlag Wien.
