Abstract
Leadership is a managerial skill associated with other skills that turn out to be necessary for post-pandemic economic development. Accordingly, the present study aims to analyze the managerial competencies of the initiative, situational analysis, decision making and planning and their predictive relationship with leadership in international business administration students from a private university in Lima.-Peru. The sample consisted of 152 students, 70 were women (46.1%) and 82 men (53.9%) who ranged from 16 to 36 years old (Mage = 18.86, SD = 3.70). The results show that students do not feel secure in the development of their managerial skills. Furthermore, initiative, contextual analysis, planning, and decision-making are significantly related to leadership, but only initiative and decision-making predict the development of leadership competency.
