We dedicate this article to the memory of Dr. Manuel Velasco Pernia, Professor of Pharmacology of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela, who died from COVID-19 in 2021. Also, to Dr. Angel Minguez, Infectious Diseases Specialist from Argentina, who also died in 2021.
