The present is our experience about gametes transport in Pe ru between august 2002 and August 2003. The oocytes and spermatozoa were transported under controlled condition from the periphery center to central laboratory. There were 23 follicular aspirations (thirteen cycles of IVF and ten cy cles of ICSI). A total 151 oocytes was obtained and were inseminated 126 oocytes in metaphase II. The fertilization was evaluated 16-18 hours post-insemination in pronucleus stage. The fertilized oocytes (IVF: 66.7%; ICSI: 81.7%) were further cultured for 24 to 48 before being transported and transferred to the patient, whom received vaginal luteal supplementation. There we re 20 embryos tra n s fe rs: 10 we re IVF's cy cles and 10 ICSI's cy cles and were achieved 7 clinical pregnancies and finally eight babies healthfully were born.
