Abstract
The processing power of today's smart mobile devices allows real-time geolocation sharing. On the other hand, the Public Universities have their own transportation system for their students, teachers and administrative personnel; The National Universities in Peru are not the exception, the location, whereabouts and schedules that are constantly updated by the administration of the service are unknown. For this reason, the objective is to develop a mobile application based on Android for the geolocation of buses in Public Universities. The development methodology was carried out in three stages: analysis, graphic prototypes were prepared based on the requirements; Design, adapted to different screen sizes and finally in Development and tests, the modules were programmed for users and drivers, complying with the software tests respectively. In this way, the geolocation of the Bus was possible, the visualization of the updated routes, the location and the schedules, adding value to the transport service of the Universities.
