cris.boxmetadata.label.abstract
A novel concept to obtain ultra-flattened chromatic dispersion optical fibers by introducing a small air hole at the core of a conventional step index optical fiber is presented. The proposed structure, exhibits a very simple geometry, and has been analyzed by using an efficient vectorial finite element method and the material dispersion has been included in the modal analysis. © 2006 IEEE.
