Abstract
The present article includes preliminary results of five Latin American countries, participating in the research project “Ethics and training in community psychology (CP). Its general objective was to identify and analyze the ethical component in CP´s teaching, based on the review of 157 CP and similar courses in psychology programs, in the countries where this project is carried out. The results suggest that, despite the differences between universities and countries, CP is offered frequently including fieldwork, though with little explicit discussion of the ethical component. This among other preliminary findings reinforces the importance of studying this issue in greater depth and widening its scope.
