Abstract
Tourism needs various diversification mechanisms for its development in Latin America. Efforts from rural and urban levels are promoted. This research aims to explain the promotion of natural heritage in the development of tourism in the province of Talara Peru. The methodology is a correlational explanatory. With a population of 135,200 inhabitants (INEI 2017), using a sample of 399 people with a margin of error of 5%, the techniques applied were the survey and observation; and their instruments, the questionnaire and the observation sheet. The effects of the variables was contrasted with the object of study, using the Chi-square statistical technique. As a result, it was obtained that 75% of surveyed people consider that the application of promotion strategies directly influences tourism in the region, contributing to its development. Likewise, 73% affirm that the cultural interrelation contributes positively to the tourist activity. It was concluded that tourists using social networks, then the promotion strategies influence and contribute to the development of tourism, and the inhabitants of the province of Talara must be trained.
