Abstract
The authors report on the first measurement of low-field giant magnetoresistance in metallic multilayers of perovskite oxides. The authors performed in-plane measurements of the magnetoelectric transport properties in La0.75 Sr0.25 Mn O3 LaNi O3 trilayers and succeeded in distinguishing the giant magnetoresistance effect from other contributions to the total magnetoresistance. The samples were grown on single-crystalline SrTi O3 substrates by dc sputtering. © 2007 American Institute of Physics.
