Abstract
The general objective of this article is to describe the problem of occupational accidents from the analysis of statistical data in Peru. This is a study supported by the positivist and interpretive paradigm of a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative). The research is descriptive, documentary information has been traced to address the problem of workplace accidents, in a universal context. The term work accident is theorized, creating a construct of it and differentiating it from other terms; for the analysis, the universe constituted by the labor accidents occurred in the organizations is considered; the population oriented to Peru and the sample in the various cases presented: The results indicate that the year 2018-2019, although the variation in notifications of fatal work accidents was-4.6%, specifically in the months of December; Analyzing the trend of the data, we have that the correlation coefficient (R) was 0.851, which implies a high positive correlation between time and the number of reported accidents; being that as time passes, these will increase.
